Welcome to my world, where innovation meets inclusivity, and science becomes accessible to all. As a passionate STEM educator and social media presence, I am committed to breaking down barriers and empowering learners of all backgrounds.
MY BACKGROUND
Matthew Weinberg is a scholar with expertise in Egyptology, medicine, and game theory, currently serving as the Head Of School and Academic Dean at The Barrett School. With a diverse career encompassing both academia and research, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my educational endeavors. Residing in Florida with my wife, three children, and two beloved pets, I am deeply committed to fostering a love of learning and discovery in both my professional and personal life.
I hold a PhD in Education, where I specifically explored the application of game theory to educational programs, and an MEd in Multicultural Education. My academic journey also includes a BS in Biochemistry and a BA in Egyptian Archaeology. Additionally, I pursued an Osteopathic Medical Degree and completed part of a residency in Radiation Oncology before transitioning to focus on research.
With a strong foundation in cross-disciplinary education, I aim to maintain a broad focus, revealing the science behind subjects that people might not immediately associate with STEM, such as history and literature, while still embracing the opportunity to conduct classic science experiments. My educational journey has equipped me with the tools and insights to cater specifically to neurodivergent students and those who thrive in hands-on, project-based learning environments.
I believe that science should be a source of inspiration, not intimidation. My mission is to make complex scientific concepts understandable and exciting for everyone. Through cutting-edge technology and individualized teaching approaches, I strive to foster curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning in every student.
